With the economic downturn and slow recovery it matters a great deal The Long Beach Grand Cru provides exposure to a broad business community and consumer base and increases awareness to all segments of LAFLA’s broad geographic region. Since its inception in 1995, the “Cru” has become a premier, highly visible international wine competition and public tasting event. The Grand Cru exists solely as a marketing and fundraising benefit for LAFLA’s many business supporters. There are many sponsorship packages to fit every budget. The Grand Cru has earned a prestigious reputation and become a magnet for businesses that see it as an essential part of their socially responsible marketing mix in the Southern California region while supporting a good cause. There are five events over a six-month period: Sponsor Party, International Wine Competition, Public Tasting, VIP Reception, and Volunteer Party that provide the opportunity to market your business. In 2009, the public tasting attracted 1300 business, civic and community leaders. The competition received 1,600 entries from around the world. The Grand Cru website has become very active with over 160,000 hits in peak months and 830,000 hits annually. Since its inception the Grand Cru has raised $3,099,809 for programs and services provided by LAFLA. Join us in celebration of our 16th Anniversary.
